OCAM and Open Eye team up again!

We had so much fun at our last OCAM at Open Eye market that we’ve decided to do another one.  This Saturday, June 25th, The Orange Collective Artisan Market will be at Open Eye Cafe from 10 am to 2 pm.  You can see the event page on Facebook.

Participating vendors are:

Reciprocities (Creatively fabulous handmade jewelry and art)
Chock Full of… (Fun handcrafted home goods)
Worthwhile Mercantile (Lovely handmade clothes, dolls, quilts and more)

Little Foxes and Brilliant Handmade will also be there!

We’re really excited to get together and do this market and hope that all of you will be stopping by.  Don’t forget that the Carrboro Farmer’s Market is also that morning so you can do 2 markets in one day!

Brilliant Handmade

Brilliant Handmade is the creative outlet of Kara LaFleur, co-owner of Roulette Vintage.  She learned to sew at her grandmother’s knee, and now creates whatever her imagination tells her to.   You can find her new t-shirt dresses, kitty creatures, crocheted goods and more this Saturday at our Open Eye Market.

Geoff Henshall will be at the OCAM Market May 7th at Open Eye with his awesome art!  he does these wonderful multimedia and painted creations that we love.  You can check out his art here or just come by on Saturday and collect some for yourself!

I love reading about the  crafting and everyday dreams of Laura Browning at her chock full of… blog.  She has also started her own handmade line featuring Happy Day banners and patchwork pillows.
Her Carrboro premier will be this Saturday at our Open Eye Market.
Her creations make lovely Mother’s Day gifts!

Carrboro Coffee Roasters

We love Carrboro Coffee Roasters.  They are responsible for the fresh, beautifully roasted coffee that you enjoy each time you go to Open Eye Cafe, Cafe Driade, or a number of other restaurants, clubs and cafes around the area.
The owner, Scott Conary, is not only a coffee expert but also someone who appreciates coffee at its roots.  He visits the farms that the beans come from to meet the farmers and the land.  There are many steps to a good cup of coffee and they are each important.
